An increasing number of projects require the logging and transmission of location data for applications such as fleet tracking, logistics and wearable devices. Access to the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) in small applications has now become easier through the increase of small GPS modules and GLONASS modules from Telit.
Telit’s Jupiter range of GPS modules are available for different constellations as well as being in several different form factors, including modules which combine the entire GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), which includes GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS, such as the SE868-V2.
The Jupiter range includes the SE880, measuring just 4.7 x 4.7mm, there are options for the smallest of applications. Other options are based on form factors which include LCC and QFN packaging, allowing you to select a road-mapped format with an upgrade path, allowing you to drop in replacements, making your application future-proof.
Telit’s Jupiter range of GPS modules feature high sensitivity, multi-channel GPS receivers, offering extremely low power consumption and extended ephemeris injection for fastest TTFF. The modules are equipped with a wide set of interfaces like UART, I2C, and SPI. They support assisted ephemeris file injection as well as Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) like WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS and GAGAN.
